Ok, I know how to do two stories but right now I'm washing windows out of my car. I just moved and I'm saving up to get my first truck.
Anyhow, I did a bid on a home where I was going to rent a ladder but now I'm wondering if I should just buy a little giant ladder? You know the one that folds up.
So, for a two story home is it safe to use a little giant ladder or should I just rent a standard 24 foot extension ladder?
BTW, I can't buy an extension ladder as I have no place to store it right now and I'm not driving around with a long ladder on my CAR everywhere. |

i bought one when they first came out, nice but didn't use much. I stick with the extension or I use daily a collapse type ladder. It was to heavy.

| The 22 ft little giant ladder i have made by werner, is the only one i use. I love that freaking thing! I also have a 28ft extension ladder too. Keep in mind, I dont need the 6ft or 10ft a frame ladders..this one does it all. And for you it seems like it would be perfect. For the weigght, yes its not light but its manageable. I have used 24footers also..but not enough to out weigh the practicallity of my little giant. The little giant style ladders are made by other companies..i like the gorilla brand and the werner cause it has double walled construction, making it durable. But trust me, i love it. |

My LG knock (17 footer) is great for the average 2 story home but I have to reach too much on some jobs so I have a Feather-lite Jaws ladder (26 footer) for the higher 2 stories and some 3 story homes.
All in all I love the ladder style and flexibility. Too bad it didn't weigh a lot less. The 17' isn't too bad but my 26' footer....YIKES! _________________ Window Cleaning Tips & Tricks

I Started out with the Honda Civic hatchback and with the biggest 'little giant' was able to do 3 story office buildings. I spent $900.00 for the ladder, 3 ft. step, 2 leg levelers, 2 platforms, wall stand-off.and extending plank. Made $2000.00 working part-time because of it the very next month! Love my little giants!!! |

| You can't go wrong with Mettalic sectional ladders. A few pieces can easily fit inside your average car if you put the seat down, and will be enough for any two story job. They are kind of pricey compared to other ladders, but I use them all the time, and I cant go back to extensions. |

I use 16ft and 24ft. extension ladders and 2ft Werner the most. typeIII - that is the lightest type - easy to work with. Weight is very important - the difference between, say typeII and typeIII is over 10 pounds, iirc(to say nothing about type I or carbonfiber ladders - those are heavy as hell). You want to have some energy left at the end of the day moving ladders, loading and unloading them from truck.
I do use a 8' A-frame sometimes, don`t own a LttleGiant, can`t comment on that one, but what I use for ladders works for me - I have a long van and space is not an issue. |
