They look cool but how are the rubbers replaced?

do they last

is there a learning curve.

chris...I want one.

There is a learning curve to the use of the wagtail, although it can be useful in situations.

The channels are clipless where the center of the channel is pinched a bit to secure the rubber in place. It can be a little difficult to put a rubber in at times due to this.

I have used these for a few years and never had one break which suprises me as the appearance of them seem cheap.

Makes fanning with a pole easy.

I have had both accounts (80 windows each) for 8 years so the quality is there for me. I use two poles at this length one guy wets one squeegees.

By poling these it cuts the time and ladder climbs.

Also using the Ledger but tape it to the pole as it tends to fall off at times when closing out at this length.

That is a time saver. One poles, one comes behind.

But, by yourself you can still do that, vastly improve time.

Window Cleaning Equipment :: Using a MP3 player while WC'ing

Subject: Using a MP3 player while WC'ing
Hey guys,

Just wondering, do you guys have a MP3 player with you while you work?

I work by myself mainly, and aside from myself, I don't get to talk to many people.

I bought a MP3 player a few months ago, and I was very pleased. My only problem was the headphones, I'd stretch them too far and they'd pull on my ears, or I'd get some of the cords caught up (I tucked the headphones under my shirt). Life was great, cleaning windows...listening to my favorite tunes.

But, such great things never last. I think I was doing a storein a "bad area", when my MP3 player dissapeared from my truck. Stupid me, forgot to lock it. Before you ask, no, I did not misplace it lol. I always keep it in the passenger side floor. Needless to say, I was bummed.

I used a Sansa Sandisk I bought from buy.com for 30 dollars. (It's originally 200, but I got a refurb'd unit!).

However, he doesn't have a USB cord for that mp3 player to upload any songs, so....he'll be introduced to the loud world of SLAYER.

I need to get a new one.....any suggestions?

I thought Wal Mart's home office was in Bentonville Arkansas?

Many years ago back in the 80's my dad used to clean about 7 Wal Marts.
Then they all became Nazi's and began doing everything in house to save money. With Wal Mart it's all about squeezing out every penny that they can. They have made a science of it and it's why they have gotten to where they are.
I doubt you will get them, but ya never know, it's worth a shot.
I bought my first wagtail about 3 months ago - and have used it in preference to the ettore and unger ever since. At first it was very difficult for me to get a grip on, but practising for a week or two got me up and running. Havent looked back since. Dont underestimate the wagtail, its brilliant ! Great for pole work, deep ledges and hard to get at corners and angles. The blade seems to last longer too. I use the wagtails almost exclusively now. I use the aluminium squeegees (wont touch the plastic ones) and dont bother buying the wagtail 'flipper' - its pretty useless. I bought one, tried it for one day and then dismantled the defunct applicator and only use the squeegee section now. I wish they would make a decent applicator combo for the wagtail.
Also I used to suffer incredibly with arthritis in my fingers after a days window cleaning - since switching to wagtail, 90% of the swelling and pain is gone.
Getting used to wagtails is the key - once you have mastered it, you will love them.
In saying all that - wagtails are great squeegees, try them ! And if you dont at first succeed, dont give up - your breakthrough is just a few more practise strokes away

so if you are used to a swivel handle and you use the fan method would you have any trouble picking this up?

Jonathon, I only started window washing one year ago - never held a squeegee in my hand before that. It took time to even learn the fanning (still learning and practising) - so moving to a wagtail was an even bigger challenge for me.
If you are adept at fanning and using swivels you should adapt very quickly (quicker than I did, lol seeing Im still relatively a beginner compared to some of you guys)
The wagtail has cut down my cleaning time anything from a third to a half. Wagtail also used to have a reputation for being flimsy and easily broken - but they have improved - so far Ive used the one wagtail for 90% of my jobs (so its continually at work) and havent had a problem yet.
